Are you sleepy Cailin?

Look at that belly button! Isn't it so cute?! It hasn't gone in yet but it has gotten smaller since she was a baby. She is sooo sleepy here. It's nap time and with us being away from home, they don't happen as scheduled. She just falls apart without a nap!

If I asked her right now with that sleepy look on her face and the fact that she is sitting still for more than two seconds, "Cailin are you sleepy?" She would yell, "No Way!" That's her favorite saying right now. For every question you ask her the response is always the same "no way!"

If I asked her, "Cailin would you like to take a nap?"
She would answer, "No-I-don't-want-no-nap!" This is her second favorite saying. She just changes it to whatever the subject is your asking.
One day we were in the grocery store and Cailin was whining to get out of the basket. Ariel was trying to distract her by asking her if she seen the baby that was coming our way. She screams to Ariel and says, "No I don't want no baby!" Hilarious!

Our Favorite Ride

We found a mini-amusement park on International Drive in Orlando. It had a gameroom, rides, and go-carts. This was probably our favorite ride or at least the ride that we rode the most. You don't know exactly when it would happen, but all of a sudden you would be zipped up the tower.

To the very top.

Then dropped straight back down.

Even Cailin thought it was high.

I think Ariel rode the most times, because she rode with each adult 2-3 times.

Poor Cailin was so sick of riding in her stroller. Look at that face!

Go Carts

We rode the Go Carts and it was fun! The line was extremely long for this particular one because it was a long trail that had steep hills to go up and down on. In fact it was a little scary going down. My Mom and Ariel waited like an hour to get in this car.

Meanwhile, I was able to get on this cart and trail like twice in just that amount of time. I felt so old out there driving. All the teeny boppers were passing me by!

Bumper Cars

We rode the bumper cars.

Mini-Bungee Jump

There weren't many things for toddlers there. So, when we seen this ride Cailin ran right over to it. She let these girls strap the harness on without any problems. I thought she would have fun.

As she was being lifted in the air, she assumed this position- she held on as she was told and kept her legs bent like a frog.

Those poor girls worked hard to trying to get her to smile and jump. This was about as close as they got to a smile!

They got a little smile, but mostly just looks like she was thinking "what in the world are you doing to me?!"

So I thought that maybe if I got out there and jumped with her, she would jump and start to have fun. Nope! I think I had more fun jumping on the trampoline than she did!
sidenote: Before Jerry arrived, I was taking pictures of Cailin jumping. I took maybe 20 pictures. I handed Jerry the camera, while I went out there to jump with her and he took about 100 pictures! So I had to look at all 100 before picking out 2 or 3 to blog. Phew!

sidenote......

When I first saw these photos, I had a range of thoughts.
My first thought was, "Look at my belly in this picture; I can't believe it's that freakin' big!"
Then I thought, "I am deleting these pictures and noone else will ever see them!" And then finally I decided that I would keep them and use them as a reminder to get to the gym more often. A couple weeks after these pictures were taken, I found out that we are having another baby! Yep, pregnant again with baby #3!
But come on! I'm like 3-4 weeks pregnant here! Right around this time, I had a woman ask me in the gym was I pregnant. I told her no and she asked me was I sure. Ha!
For some crazy reason, I get an immediate increase in girth around my belly area. Not that I'm usually flat and toned, with 6-pack abs, but come on I'm not that big! It also makes me a little embarassed to share just how pregnant I am. People usually ask first if I'm pregnant and then the next question is- how far along are you. I usually laugh while telling them, because I know the next response will be- wow either that's a big baby or you are carrying twins.

It sure looks like she knows what she is doing! She was stomping on the arrows and jumping all around, too bad the game wasn't even playing. It must be fun to be a toddler!

My Favorite Shoes

These are her favorite shoes. These are the shoes she spends umpteen times taking on and off. A couple of months ago I noticed that she always managed to put these shoes on the right feet.

I wanted to know if this was a fluke or did she actually know the left foot from the right foot. So, I waited until she was putting the shoes on and then I grabbed them from her, mixed them up and handed her the opposite shoe that she was getting ready to put on.

And do you know what happened! She switched foot and put the shoe on correctly.

So there you have it! At 22 months she knew how to put her shoes on the right feet.

I was playing with flash and my new camera and I told Cailin to get on the couch with Ariel to take a picture. And you know what? She did it! I couldn't believe it! Then she looked right at the camera and smiled. What a big girl!
