Just Dance (Day 4)

After trying out 3 other Dance Studios, we finally found one that we like. Cailin says that her dance teacher is her favorite teacher. I didn't bother to mention that it is her only teacher. When it's time to change into her tap shoes from her ballet shoes, she sits with her Instructor instead of the other kids.

My Little Walker

15 months old and I think you finally have this walking thing down! Yay!

Little Ballerina (Day 3)

Almost Walking (Day 2)

You are almost walking. You get a little braver every day.

And here you done something new- say hi to strangers. You are happy to be around someone new and venture away from me.

Look At Me Go

For the longest Rylie would only crawl. Over the last week or so, I've been holding her hand and walking with her. We clap and cheer anytime she does it by herself. Now, everyday she walks more and more.

14months Old (Day 1)

I'm starting my photo-a-day challenge. I hope I can do it, because wouldn't it be cool to look back at all the photos I've taken over the course of the year. I'm kicking it off with my littlest person.
My little Rylie, you are 14 months old. You have 2 teeth at the bottom and 2 teeth that are coming in at the top. You do not walk fully yet. I think you are a little scared to fall. You are taking more and more steps each day. I've been really working and encouraging you. I feel like you will do it any day. You like to explore and go all around the house. I guess you feel like you can get there faster if you crawl.
You eat most foods, but you will spit it out if you don't like it or you have tasted something better. You have become extra attached to me for some reason. Insisting that I carry you around and not get up and walk away from you. This will send you into tantrum city. Speaking of tantrums, you fall backward at almost everything that doesn't go your way. I say you remind me of your big sister, Ariel. Ariel has taught you to how to be chased and now when she comes after you, you crawl really fast to get away. You are tickled pink at Cailin. You like to watch her and most times, she just cracks you up.
You say Mommy very well. You call me all the time. You laugh when I answer. And "talk" back to me when I talk to you. You favorite pass time activity is throwing things on the floor. You toss things off the bed and you empty drawers. Your absolute favorite seems to be my purse (which I'm forced to keep up high out of your reach). You toss all my things out and you always look at me before you start. I'm sure you know that I will say "No". You leave messes every where you go. I can hardly keep up with putting everything back.
You still suck your thumb religiously. I can hardly separate you from it.
You fall asleep at 9 and wake early (around 7). You nap one or two times per day. You're not a really good sleeper, because you sometimes wake if someone gets out of the bed. Yes, you and Cailin sleep with us, but we are working on getting you two into your rooms. We love you sweet, Rylie.

Rylie's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Rylie's birthday over my Mom's house.
It was just the family. This is Rylie's cute little smash cake before it was demolished.

The little bear candle was the candle that I used on Ariel and Cailin's one year cake too.

As soon as I set the cake in front of her. She went right for it.

She was so excited too!

And completely covered in it.

She was really eating it. She ate so much I thought she would be sick.

Cailin asked me about 20 times, if she could join Rylie. She couldn't understand why she couldn't have cake yet.

As a matter of fact, everyone wanted to share Rylie's cake.

Her Mumsil thought she needed a spoon because the cake was cold from being in the fridge.

Crawling, but no walking

This little baby shows no interest in walking. She stands up without help and climbs on everything.

But when she needs to get around, she crawls.

And there's no stopping her!

I'm Stuck

I have no idea what the fascination is with getting lodged in between the mattress and the footboard of the bed, but every child seems to like to do it. I have a photo with Cailin in the same position, but Rylie does it far more often. I find her like this every time she is on my bed.

Just sitting there; with her thumb in her mouth.
