The Demise of the Birthday Cake!

This is Cailin's cute little clown cake. A small 1-tier round cake just for the birthday girl!

Before we even finished singing "happy birthday", Cailin had managed to swipe some icing for tasting. But, once we pushed the cake in front of her, in the blink of eye, she looked like the picture above and below.

She tasted it; she squeezed it between her fingers; she smeared it all around; and she put her foot in it.

This was the end of the birthday cake.

Ariel is feeding the birds and Cailin is watching. I didn't want her to give Cailin any crackers because the seagulls will take the cracker from Cailin's hands and she gets afraid. We all have this strange fascination with these birds for some reason.

Cay are you stuck?!!

This is the end of the bed. Every time I place Cailin on the bed, she crawls to the end of the bed and stands up to lean over the rail. I am always afraid she will fall or get stuck. Well, the latter happened and when I turned around and saw this I thought it was too funny. She was stuck in mid air just below the top of the rail and her feet were not touching the floor. So what do I do? I reach for the camera instead of helping her up, because after all, she is laughing too.

Then she started to cry, but not because she was hurt. It was because she couldn't get up. I quickly helped her up, but not before making this picture. You would think this would have stopped her from crawling to the edge of the bed. NOT!

Happy 10th Birthday Ariel!!!

Ariel had a That's So Raven CupCake Cake. She LOVES Raven and the Cheetah Girls. She plays The Cheetah Girls' CD so much I know most of the words to the songs!

Her party was at NorthShore Pool. They had a couple of water slides and different pools for all ages. Ariel and her friends split their time between jumping off the diving board and playing on the water slides. We had sandwiches and chips by the pool, followed by cake and juice. Everyone had a great time!

Cailin got lots of attention from the girls. Everyone wanted to hold "the baby"!

Chocolate Heaven

Ariel absolutely loves chocolate. The funny thing is, she never stops and enjoys it. As soon as she gets a piece of cake or candy, she will woof it down in the blink of an eye. She doesn't even realize her picture is being taken. Her full attention is on that cupcake!
